In an article, “Toastmasters: Making Every Word Count” by Joel Stein, Mr. Stein writes about how Toastmasters has boomed from a professional hobby of sorts to a large, polishing skill set training course for business people. 60% of the clubs are now corporations, with the rest making up small town groups.
Rory, the 2007 World Championship of Public Speaking runner-up was quoted and his book, “No Laughs to Know Laughs” was mentioned by Stein. The International Speech Conference has been held since 1938.
